Title: The Cursed Pennant Post by: Dave on June 16, 2011, 06:17:54 am My thinking stems from the card game hearts or black mariah, where to have a little is detrimental but to "shoot the moon" is beneficial
There are four city tiles with only a quarter of a unique pennant on them and to have one or more in your city when you complete with majority results in you recieving the corresponding token into your supply. for each such token in supply at game end penalises you 10 points, but if you end the game with all four, rewards you 40 points instead Title: Re: The Cursed Pennant Post by: Dave on June 16, 2011, 07:59:29 am Ive had a rethink on the points, I think that as you can see when someone is trying to shoot the moon, the reward should be 150% of the penalty
so -8 points penalty and +48 points reward Title: Re: The Cursed Pennant Post by: Albinoasian on June 16, 2011, 11:24:02 am i really like this... could something like this be adapted for existing resources in cities too?
Title: Re: The Cursed Pennant Post by: Dave on June 16, 2011, 12:22:18 pm That would work, at least as a test.
good idea I think that the number of Tokens you need to collect to shoot the moon is the critical factor, too many and it would become near impossible. Too few too easy. my first guess was 4, but I haven't playtested it but this way I could. Title: Re: The Cursed Pennant Post by: Dave on July 05, 2011, 03:31:19 pm tiles and tokens

Title: Re: The Cursed Pennant Post by: Dave on July 05, 2011, 06:39:05 pm it is
I've play-tested this once and I think its hard enough to "shoot the moon" (lift the curse) that most of the time it is as you would think. but there is the possibility that they could turn the tables and profit from your efforts. |
