 I'm in the process of adding 14 piece sets (8 Meeples, 1 MegaMeeple, 1 Builder, 1 Pig, 1 Mayor, 1 Cart, 1 Barn) and 3 pieces sets (1 Mayor, 1 Cart, 1 Barn) for the new colors.

looks like they are all up. There is an option to buy all 8 14 piece seys at once. That should save some of you guys some time! :)

Finally, they are up.  HERE (http://www.meeplesource.com/index.php) is the link for the site.  There are two additional colors to the six they had before (as mentioned), gold and camo (light, pale green with camo spots on the front and back only).  They did mention that some of the newer colors don't match the colors they had before, specifically pink and purple.  This could be an issue for those who were waiting to buy just the three new ones might not like the color change. 

I haven't been able to see a picture of anything but the regular meeples and pigs as the others wouldn't load for me.  It looks to me like these are made by a third party (probably obviously true anyway) as they don't exactly match the shape of the original meeples.  However, they are rather beautiful, especially to those of us who've been waiting for so long.

The complete set includes 8 meeples, mega meeple, pig, builder, mayor, cart, and barn for $8 U.S.  They give you a nice discount for all 8 sets for $49.  Let's see how long it takes for them to sell out!  ;)

I don't see Barns listed individually.

I don't think they did list the three new ones seperately.  Probably figured no one would want one without the others.

Just ordered all 8 sets plus an additional nude set for my wife to paint something interesting on.  Excuse me while I go sit by the mailbox.  ;D  I'll post pictures when they come.

How did you do that?  I can't seem to find that option. 

They used to offer us a discount, but it appears as though they don't anymore.  I emailed them to ask them about it.  I also asked them if they'd be willing to carry meeples from spin-offs and other games.  It would help our expansion efforts!  :D  I'll let you know what they say.

An answer about discounts.  Disappointing...

Well, I did the Google phone widget and got voicemail stating a different website. I went to.that site and found a chat option.

I also agree that sales would have been better if stock was better. I must have checked the site a few hundred times and not purchase anything because it was out of stock. Ex. White builder...

But it looks like they are back in business mostly. I would like to see support for other games as well.

Kudo's to meeplesource! I placed an order for a full set of gold and purple Friday. Got them in the mail this morning, well packaged.
They also threw in two extra 'standard size' meeples in each color for me.  Exactly the extra amount that I've added in the 6 standard colors and almost ordered from them but didn't.  Thanks guys!  One happy customer.

This may be a stupid question, but is there any reason you can't get one of the new colors and add it to the game to add a seventh (or eighth...) player? Or does Carcassonne only work well with up to 6 players?

you can have as many players as you have distinct meeples, you can if "you" like have teams and have two players with half the number, what changes is the dynamics of play

you get less tiles to play the more players so the features that earn you points changes the less goes the less chance you have to build big cities for example

some things dont stretch, you can buy a mayor but you might need to make extra abbeys.

in the end it's your game, try it, see if it works.

We've played several games with 8 players. I bought purple and orange sets from meeplesource. I bought an extra set of A&M to get more abbeys and barns and I painted the barns.

When you add a couple of large expansions and a few CC expansions it quite easily balances the game back to a reasonable number of turns per player. We've had no trouble playing with 8 but you can expect the game to run a little longer than usual.

Ok...I caved...lol...got me a set of purple, gold and unpainted.  Grabbed a Pirate and a Ninja for my 4yr old boy...he likes snarking on my meeples.

Hmm... why do they make a Mayor, but not Abbeys? I don't have Abbey and Mayor yet, so it's moot now, but I'll definitely be getting that expansion at some point.

Because the Abbey's are tiles.  They only sell meeples.

COol ^^ I ordered 3 sets in different colors, and asked for 1 more of every color in the standard game + the three I just bought. They gave me 1 meeple of every single color they sell! Not just the ones i asked for  :D They also gave me a pirate and a ninja for free!!

LOL! Call me a newb. :) I didn't know they were tiles. It would be nice if there were a source for some extra Abbey tiles, but I suppose the expansion isn't too expensive from amazon, so buying two is an option.

You can order 'spare-parts' from the Hans-im-Glueck website. It's not easy, but cheap! I'm going to order 3 extra abbey tiles (and some other stuff) this week for the three new meeple colors i bought, so that we can play with up to nine players is we would want to do so.

What he said... the only catch is that they will only ship to a European address.  If you live there, no problem, otherwise you need to make a buddy like I did.  I just need to get on that.

What about phantom followers?  Any sources?

Anyone have any ideas or leads on phantoms in all the extra meeplepeople colors???  I've only played with more then 6 plyers once so far and we had to keep an eye on the 2 yellow phantoms and who they belonged to as to not get them confused.

I plan on using glass beads for now.
Although, I wonder how hard it would be to cast them out of tinted acrylic resin.  If I did it, I'd probably experiment with a replacement for the grey (purple) phantom.

Is it just me or do the Mega Meeple look different then the normal ones? Almost as if they cut and made them themselves.. I recently bought a couple orange standard Meeple and realized the head was smaller and the arms were off. I may start sanding down some of my own and start painting them myself  ::)
