Unfortunately I had some issues with a new batch of Pewter back then, if I have time I'll look into it some time soon. Basically, I made the moulds using two components - silicones and some other chemical that cures the mix. When using your mould, you have to brush it with talc powder or graphite powder, otherwise your product will end up like this:
(http://redpanda.nl/FailedMeeples.png) By the way, when creating the mould you have to consider the channels for the pewter itself, and for the air to escape from the mould. When using the mould, these channels will be filled with pewter eventually, you can just cut them off after the pewter solidifies. I'll make sure to make pictures of the entire process. Some time ago I made a video about casting pewter in moulding sand, however it's quite long-winded, and more important, it is in Dutch.
